Mission Statement
Kung Fu San Soo is considered, by many, to be the most sophisticated and complete form of martial arts in existence today. Kung-Fu San Soo is not a sport, but a complete fighting art. The most important distinction between San Soo and other forms of self-defense is the word: self-defense. While other martial artists meet an attack defensively, a San Soo fighter meets an attack offensively. This is an essential aspect of the art itself. Although San Soo is offensive in nature, it does not promote violent behavior. On the contrary, through the practice of Kung Fu San Soo, a fighter develops a strong respect for other people. Training in this art in a Christian environment also results in improved self confidence, morals, values, concentration, and self discipline.

About Kung Fu San Soo
The Ancient Chinese Art Of Self Defense--Kung Fu San Soo

Influenced by television and movies, many people mistakenly think “Kung Fu” is a universal term reflecting one distinct martial art originating in China. The public does not know there are many different styles of Kung Fu. Distinct phrases following the words “Kung Fu” identify the various kinds. It is important to understand among all the different varieties of Kung Fu, the style of San Soo is unique and stands alone. That is because San Soo is designed solely and specifically for street fighting situations. Literally translated Kung Fu San Soo means “a man learned, articulate and active in the use of his hands (body) in combat with another man.”
San Soo’s fighting style is based on logic, common sense and science. It consists of combination techniques. Executed in perfect rhythm the techniques themselves consist of punches, strikes, kicks, throws and leverage moves directed against the “weak points” of an attackers body. These moves can be changed instantly and do not follow a set pattern. The size and strength of an attacker are not important because strikes to these weak points cause a maximum result with a minimum of effort.
San Soo is designed solely for street situations, giving practitioners the ability to protect themselves and their loved ones from attack. The essence of the art is not to be a bully, but to have self respect and confidence.
San Soo places emphasis on the student as a person and does not follow a group mind set. A practitioner can be male or female, any size, shape or physical condition. Because a person fights alone, students learn on a personal level. An additional benefit of this type of training is that a person’s ability to learn and progress does not depend on others. From their first lesson, a dedicated student learns self defense techniques that they can use immediately if necessary.

Correctly taught, this art does not consist of:
-Imitating of animals
-A belief in mystical forces for confidence and strength
-Theatrical stances
-Drawn out confrontations
-Tournaments
San Soo is purely a fighting art designed for one purpose: To win a fight.
