Thank you for considering the New Believers Follow-up Ministry. This ministry provides follow up on those who have come forward and made a commitment to the Lord, and welcomes those newly born into the Lord and into our family. We also share with these new believers and get them started on the right track, explaining to them what they have done and the impact it will have on their lives.
New Believers ministers need to have a desire to serve others and to grow in the things of the Lord themselves. All applicants go through a six-week training course and will be guided (step-by-step) in the process of ministering to a new believer.
The following is a quick list of commitments that are expected from a New Believer minister:
1. Follow-up once a week after service
(approx. 15 min.)
2. Set aside time each week to do phone follow-up from home
(approx. 30 min.)
3. Two hours once a month on a Tuesday or Thursday night for phone
follow-up from the church
4. A monthly meeting on the last Sunday of the month (4:00 pm-5:30 pm)
5. Availability to serve at special events
(Easter, Christmas, Outreaches)
A current ministry application is needed for this ministry. Forms are available at the sign up table or at the church office. Further details and training will be available upon applying for this ministry.
